Award-Winning Project: Super Brad’s Pad.
We are incredibly proud that our work on the Super Brad’s Pad project, commissioned by the Bradley Lowery Foundation, has been recognised with the Best Sustainable Development award at this year’s International Sustainability Ecology Engineering Design Conference. This project is close to our hearts, as it is designed to provide respite for families with terminally ill and underprivileged children. The development not only serves a critical purpose but also sets a new benchmark for sustainable construction.
We are humbled to be recognised alongside talented previous winners such as Kier Group, bam, and Speller Metcalfe.
The holiday home, located in Scarborough, was built using our Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) technology. By combining durability with energy efficiency, we were able to deliver a project that aligns with both the environmental needs of the location and the social goals of the Foundation. Every aspect of the construction, from its sustainable design to the use of recycled materials and energy-efficient systems, was carefully considered to reduce the environmental impact.
We are especially thankful to the Bradley Lowery Foundation for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful project. The success of Super Brad’s Pad is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of everyone involved, and we are grateful to be part of a project that will bring comfort to so many families in need.
We had a fantastic time celebrating at the awards ceremony, surrounded by inspiring individuals from across the industry. It was a night filled with great conversations, laughter, and the shared excitement of seeing sustainability take centre stage in construction. After the formalities, we joined the attendees of the International Sustainability Conference for a bit of fun and celebration. Let’s just say the drinks flowed, and we may have gotten a little carried away — but it was all in good spirits! It was wonderful to unwind with like-minded professionals after such a memorable event.
